Toyota 4500 EL sewing maching starts automatically??

When i turn on my Toyota 4500 EL sewing maching it starts automatically on the lowest speed? It does not stop until it is turned off? What is the problem? How can it be fixed?

Hello Lorna,
Sopunds like the suppressor in the foot ontrol has b lown, undo the control and discard the little square thing, you don't need it.
