Whirlpool washing machine AA 1400 AWM 5145.

If the motor is at the top, I can replace the brushes myself. If at bottom, I am not tall enough to reach.

Can anybody please tell me where the Whirlpool motor is possitioned ??

If you don't even know how to locate & find a motor then I don't have much confidence in you actually being able to do the repair.

what would i do as i don;t know every machines layout ????
I would have to investigate by a little bit of detective work.
1 would take the top off and have a look inside. you have a 50/50 chance
2 check the rear of machine for a removable panel at the bottom.
if motor at the bottom tip machine up to about 30 degrees and then put a (good stout support under) while i worked from the bottom
