Cant remove filter from Beko washing machine?

the filter in my washine machine is stuck. I have tried to use pliers to pull it out but wont budge. Any ideas?

My filter on my washing machine will not turn even a little bit I have had the pliers on it with no joy. Any ideas.

Just thought I would add to this thread, in that my BEKO washing machine was not draining or the softener was not entering the drum, so used pliers on the filter, quite tough to move but with the amount of crap in there no surprise it was not working, now back to normal.

I pulled it with pliers last night and the 'handle' broke :(
really unsure what to do now. Any advise would be greatly appreciated

it unscrews anti clock BUT if you haven't cleaned it out it can get jammed in the filter housing and you have to wiggle and pull hard.I have ended up breaking them trying to get them out but they are only about £10 for a new drain pump including filter housing

make sure you have it turned the right way , before you start pulling it, try turning it left to right with the pliers,and see if it will turn all the way around ,and them it should pop out,,
