hotpoint aquarius 1200 plus the machine turns on fills with water washs the cloths; however during the spin cycle it trips the RDC control curcuit, fuse in the plug is not blown and there is no obvious short in the machine

check for excessive carbon dust on /around the motor
CLEAN it all off with a stiff dry paint brush.
