Bell &Strobe, Vertias 8C?

Systerm is working, but the external Bell & Strobe
are not working, have tested by triggering the alarm.
The Bell I think has been deactavated by means
of the keyboard, ie, canceled. How is it reactavted
using the keyboard..

alarm guy,is nick getting on your tits with his replies?coz he is mine,i wish he would just answer the peoples questions, and not drag me into it,i dont need to boast how good i am,as am sure the rest of you guys dont,so nick,no need to say we are the best engineers in the uk,ok?just boast about yourself, and give sensible replies,

I think we need to stop calling it a bell SAB and call it an SAS, dosent have the same RING to it though dosent it, lol

Nick, July 2011
PMSL.
Well how did you test the bell?

How can the bell be disabled from the keypad?

The whole point of an alarm is that the bell RINGS when activated.
So, is the panel fuse blown. Or the bell broken?

But it is deffo not disabled from the keyPAD
Might have a bell delay though, want to try that?
Or did you try and trip the alarm in part set mode, then it is internal sounders only on the C.

Could go on, but you seem to know the answer :D

Oh dear Roger, We are the best alarm engineers in the UK, and you question one of us, I would start off with the on board fuse, and not by looking at it, We all use a process of elimination, untill we find the reason. Risco's bell boxes will not go into alarm unless the tampers are closed, but you would know they are closed N/C because you would have 13.6 on tamper return, if you are able to reset your alarm back to day, then there is no tamper fault, Guess what Roger you may have even wired it wrong.
My advice to you Roger is dont question the very best engineers in the country because we do find it offensive. Your alarm by the way is a very poor excuse for a control panel made by Texecom. Texecom are are a bit like what Skoda used to be for cars. Cheap and nasty. Scantronic or Honeywell Galaxy is where you should be. Mind you i think the resistors would scare you, 1k-1k or 2k2 4k7 Oh dear Roger have we lost you on the basic's.
Good luck

so unless you have done all the tests, you cant say your bell box is ok,alarm guy has over 30 years exp.so think before you dismiss him,he knows his stuff

gts, July 2011
alarm guy could tell you how to do it as i could,it takes about two minutes,

gts, July 2011
see alarm guy,you know nothing, all the years you have spent fixing the alarms mean nothing, tell me roger, what tests have you done to test the bell box?and please dont say i have trig the alarm,(you cant be that stupid)

gts, July 2011
