I have lost the code on my ford mondeo radio and my daughter tried what she thought was the code 10 times without my knowledge the display is now reading W56 1*TCE
Try to turn the radio on while holding the "6" button. You should get 1 or 3 additional attempts (if these additional attempts would be used up, the radio can only be unlocked with special equipment).

Max amount of tries, Needs factory reset. After 10 tries locks out completely, needs to be reprogrammed via special equipment. Will not accept any code.
