How do I fix the steering on my John Deere 155c mower?

When I turn the front wheels on my JD 155c riding lawn mower to go straight ahead the right wheel is pointed straight ahead but the left wheel is angled out. I did hit a tree stump with the left wheel, could I have bent the spindle that holds the wheel on?

I did a similar thing, I skidded down a hill and hit the ditch at the bottom of the hill, when I dragged the mower out of ditch the left wheel was towing out.
I think it is the spindle.
I will take it off and see if it will bend back in a vice.
I have changed one before that wore out and I don't think they are too pricey, about $25 $30
