How can I fix my old Stihl 028AV?

I have an old 028 AV which is running and for the most part works well. The problem is that when I run it into big wood, it loses power and dies out. Small wood, it cuts fine. Big wood, it is useless.

Being 'OLD" and also being a small 028, it's most likely time to rebuild the cylinder/rings, or just time to replace it with a saw designed for cutting big wood.

Try changing the fuel filter or adjusting carb.to a little richer mixture
