Acorn, GTS, Alarm?

Hi Guys, do you have any idea where to locate the wire that we used to use in tube and batten frames. The white single core wire.
I use it to do cavity drops to detectors but im running out.

all i can add is am very glad that era is over,a ball breaking job, battens and tubes, god, what a waste of time that was, then there was the wiring to door and hard board cover, now all we need is a stand alone unit, happy days :-)

That chain idea is awkward, I normally attach a weight to the wire, drop it, about 12 ft down the cavity from the loft, then fish it with a bit of 2.5 mains with a hook on it, been doing it for years.
Im just struggling to locate the wire now, maybe fishing line will do, or even string.
Thankyou for the links, but ive been using 2.5 mains wire to do the same thing for 27 years. Or using Nylon rods where the cavity's are filled,

You could also get one of these stupid things or a wire coat hanger or fencing wire if not long enough.

CC wire, sheesh!

CC wire? You do like making life difficult don't you?

OMG, how many times does that get caught up then?

Go to B&Q or similar and get some >>

if it gets caught up it just folds and keeps on going.

Simples (and v. easy)
