How can I set my chimes to the hour/half hour?

I have a Hamilton150-010 Mantel Clock. I keeps reasonably good time but the chimes are about six to eight minutes slow from the hour and half hour. Is there a way to set them so they will strike at the correct time?

the square boss in the middle of the minute finger is just a friction fit, this has come loose.
Allow the clock to get to a strike position, now stop the clock, remove the minute finger and turn the centre square in the finger a little bit, refit it has the finger now moved closer to the strike position ? If yes remove finger turn square some more in the same direction keep trying till finger is in the right position on the hour. when happy need to remove finger apply a small blob of solder to the back of the minute finger and center boss.
restart the clock
