2004 Ford Focus -- replace wiper switch without setting off airbag?

I have a 2004 Ford Focus. My wiper switch is bad. I have a new one and am ready to replace the old one. I really need to know if the airbag is going to be an issue though. I don't want to set it off. How can I replace the switch and ensure I won't set off the airbag?
