the abs light stays on whilst i am driving?

i have a jeep grand cherokee Ltd edition 1997 4.0 ltr 6cylinder petrol when i start the engine the abs light is on and it stays on even if i stop the engine and then restart it comes back on

The abs computer is seeing a problem in the system and letting you know but will need to see what code its setting so you can diag the problem
Most of the time the abs sytem will be disabled while there is a problem
