Noisy Bosch washing machine?

Bosch Classixx w/m. There is a loud "knocking" sound when starting the spinning proccess.
I have checked the belt, concrete block and springs and all seem to be ok. The sound can be replicated by rocking the drum casement back and forwards (and not side to side). The casement then makes contact with the metal frame at the front of the machine.

Is this likely to be the bearing? And if so, does replacing the bearing make sense on a machine that is 7 years old?

on any frontloader its almost not worth spending money when bearings worn out as you normally have to replace innner and outer drum, you cant replace bearings as it is moulded into outer drum. use inner drum for a braai.
