Ford KA 1300 is it a fuel problem or electrical
Ashley Jones, September 2006
Hi,

I had the same problem. the problem was the AVR valve, its something to do with when you put the clutch down or something (sorry i'm a girl)

It cost me £110 to get mine fixed, to find out you can just clear the valvel out with fuel injection cleaner (which only costs a couple of quid from any garage).

I would try that first before taking it to the garage.

I had this problem recently with my Fiesta - so embarrassing! The problem was a sensor and something called a poterntometer. Quite easily fixed, and not too expensive for just the sensor, if it is just that. Hope you get yours sorted. Good luck.
