Hi,
I think i might have put petrol in my movano 2.2 dti.
when i left the petrol staion after about 8 miles the van juddered and lost power and produced black smoke. Do you think that the petrol caused this problem or do you think it may be another problem.

Check your receipt from the garage to see if you put petrol or diesel in?. If you did not get one "TUT TUT" smell in the fuel filler cap and see if it smells of petrol or not. Does the vehicle start as a diesel vehicle will not start on petrol as petrol requires a spark to ignite it.
