home alarm system?

i have a ade accenta ideal that goes off with the smallest power surge and i know the internal bat has not been replaced for 10 years i am a tv video engineer so electronics is know problem but i have never worked on an alarm if i disconect from mains and undo the main alarm and take bat out would i have to program it again or do i enter 4 pin code so i can open alarm thank you

If you feel happy doing it, don't turn off the mains, open the panel (tamper noise) enter your code to cancel.

Remove battery (push on spade terminals), fit new battery (correct polarity), close lid, re enter your code to reset.

I change batts every day of the week, never a problem, just leave the mains supply alone.
