the wires have come off the back of the element now i need to put them back on but dont know where please someone help many thanks

hi there i have a white knight w44a7w tumble dryer vented and it is tripping el;ectrics? I have taken oiff the lid and there is a spurious black wire hanging wiuth connector but cant see where it goes? The black wire is heading from the front of the machine with the main wiring loom heading towards the terminal blocks at the back of the machine is it just a spare wire or does it attach somewhere, iks this the fault?
