Can I put a nut and bolt through the blade boss to hold the blade?

The locating luggs in the blade boss have sheared off so I would like to put a nut and bolt through the blade boss and then through the blade to hold it. Is this a sensible thing to do?

i would replace the blade boss not an expensive job the only problem you may have is removing the old one a set of pullers may be needed
