Citreon Saxo still stalling after ISCV cleaned?

I recently bought a 2003 1.1 Saxo from my niece. Shortly after it started stalling at junctions mainly. Spoke to my niece who said it happened to her around 2 yrs ago and the mechanic cleaned the idle speed control valve. Took it to my local garage who did a full check and said there were no problems with the car and again cleaned the valve. It ran ok for 3 weeks but now it's started again. Called garage who said i might need it replaced. I don't know anything about cars and my budget is tight, is this something i could do myself?

Simple enough to replace and the part will cost around £25 - £30.
