my car died yesterday after i hit a speed bump?

1997 ford fiesta 'benzne' 1.3; as i said my car died suddenly after hitting a speed bump i was not going fast but the bump was a high one;
the engine turns over but it appears there is no spark. i have some experience repairing my own cars for 40 odd years, but this is a new car for me, i checked the inertia switch and all the electrical line i find nothing abnormal. is there some thing i do not know? i spent several hours looking for the ignition coil, but now understand it is inside the distributor.

thanks, i'm checking it. is it possible that the coil; in the distributor has shorted out as a result of the bump?

check that the wire from the crank sensor hasnt come off or broken the sensor when you hit the bump
