Dyson DC08 pre-motor filter is covered with dust and fluff ?

Within a few minutes of starting with a freshly cleaned canister and filter, the pre-motor filter has dust and fluff on it. Does anyone know what may be causing this please?

I had the same problem and it was caused by a seal that had perished.
A local company sorted it out very cheaply for me www.dysondoctors.co.uk

The job of the pre-motor filter is to prevent the dust and dirt from getting to the motor. The pre-motor filters are fairly cheap http://www.totalvac.com/dyson_vacuum_filter.html

too much dust and fluff on the carpet. If you have recently bought this, that is the difference with other m/c, But only way, the m/c is going to get the filter clogged, is too much in the carpet.
