i'm writing to you to ask if you could solve this little problem for me. i have a 1967 White Singer Featherweight Model 221 Sewing Machine it's been running fine until today for some reason when i plugged it in it started on it's own without pressing the foot pedal.

simple problem, undo the foot control and take out the square suppressor that has blown, no need to replace it.
