Could be a damaged wire traped in the mechanism or a loose plug on the motor or an electric part given up the ghost like the motor or the transformer. Maybe get a pro to check it for safty. I fix a lot of these and more often than not it is a wire damaged in the mechanism. If you are in Scotland then I fix these on site. www.fife.ws
