engine overheating?

my vectra engine keeps overheating ,what is the problem and how do i fix it

oh forgot to mention if thats not the case it could be your waterpump is giveing up

could be the engine`s heat exchange unit located under the fuel filter only a few pounds from scrapyards, try run the car with the heater set to hot (doesnt have to be on just set to the red) and see if it makes a difference if it does thats probably the case, allso check all fuses and the engine cooling fan fuse make sure its not blown and the engine fan is doing the job it should be doing

Hi Craig,

Firstly check the water level and coolant.
Add more water if it's level is low.
Secondly if the colour of the water looks normal, then you may need engine coolant to be added too.

If the problem persists then get the radiator checked out or the over heating fan may need attention, but most likely it will be the radiator.
