engine oil in exhaust?

Iveco daily 3500kg engine oil in exhaust turns over but will not start is this gasket failure or some thing more serious

Thanks hope this is problem new turbo is easier than head off job

sounds like the turbo seal has gone allowing oil into the exaust system,
