Engine Management System - Oil light?

I have a Peugeot 1.4 HDI lX on a 2002 Plate.

Every time I drive the car the Oil Light comes on, on the Digital Display - Please Advise... Thanks

I am assuming you've had the car serviced when it is supposed to be. If not, get it serviced.

Have you checked the oil level using the dipstick? Check it on level ground after the car has been standing for a few minutes with the engine off. If the level is below the minimum then add more of the correct oil. Do not overfill it though.

If the oil level is correct, then maybe the oil pressure is low and your oil pump could be faulty.

Alternatively your oil filter could have collapsed (has been known with non-genuine filters). Replace with a genuine Peugeot oil filter.

I wouldn't continue to use it with the oil lamp on. You risk wrecking the engine completely - very expensive.
