My Hotpoint TDC60 Tumble Dryer will not start?

My Hotpoint TDC60 tumble dryer has ceased to work. When the start button is pushed no lights come on and nothing happens. I have checked the plug socket and changed the fuse in the plug but nothing..... Does anyone have any ideas. Someone mentioned a relay problem - but where are they and how can I test them??

what about the door switch ,worth a check as nothing will happen if this is faulty .had it happen to mine.

you can't .. and to be honest i'd be surprised if its anything else...

Thanks for the reply - but how do I know if the relay is faulty and if it is not this what else could it be?

Lucy, September 2006
the relay on the tdc60 is on a circuit board which is fixed to the side strut behind the right hand side...you will need to change the complete unit
