liquid damaged phone?

my young son threw my mobile into the sink- i got it out straight away and let it dry out, but it won't switch back on. is there any way of obtaining pictures and contacts etc even if the phone can't be fixed fully?

If the phone used a memory card, possible pics are on that, try it in a reader. You might think that the phone is fully dry, but it will still be wet inside. leave it somewhere warm to fully dry out, remove the battery etc If you have atest meter, check battery. if not, if you can charge the battery without the phone do it, Depends on where the water got to first, if it has been permanently damaged, If you had the tools you could take it apart to check inside.
