Need to stop carb leak on old Sears Model 917298131 tiller?

The carb is attached to a 3HP B&S engine. I blew out the carb with compressed air, and now it leaks gas out a top vent on the body.

Can I repair the carb, or do I need to purchase a replacement.

If the carb has a float,there may be debris in the top of the valve where the needle seats, or if it is a metal float, it may be punctured, or needle bent. Hope this helps !
