My pump has jammed and i need to know if i have to stop the flow of water into the pump and out again when i attempt to manually start the pump by using a screwdriver to turn the inside of pump. Will water come pouring out when i remove the metal plug on the pump.
There should be a stop valve each side of the pump,which you can turn off, then you can sort it out. There may be a build up of rubbish in the pump.Turning it with a screwdriver should not be a problem.
