peugeot 2000 gear box.auto?

When engaging the revers the s/w lights start flashing and remain so until ignition is switched of , but this doesn't seem to coulse eny prob when driving , it is my step daughters car so i am not that familiar with it can eny one help please , cheers.,

The transmission will need work way before the oil change interval. It is NOT an oil problem. There is NO fluid wear sensor in the transmission.There is a possibility it is a range position sensor fault as you say it drives OK. To be sure codes will need to be read and a look at live data. The transmission unit is equipped with a fluid wear sensor to inform the driver when the automatic transmission fluid needs renewing.
If the transmission unit is drained and refilled with new fluid, this sensor should be reset. This can only be done using the Peugeot diagnostic test box.
Time to visit your Peugeot specialist.
