I have a Asus x5dc with a faulty dvd drive, there is no screw visable on the outside to remove it. What needs to be done to replace the unit.

Plus, push (move) the bottom back

remove the bat then remove 4 screws from the back
of the laptop 1 screw near the bat compartment slide the bottom off you should see the screw holding the drive in on the left hand side
