The ignitor in the oven keeps clicking even though it is off?

We have a New World Series Two model no. 11.643.99,
the ignitor in the oven keeps clicking even though it has been switched off.
There is a red light and a lit panel on the control panel that tells us that the oven is on even though it is switched off.
