The red light keeps flashing?

I have a Rowenta Expert Steam Iron Generator the red light keeps flashing even though the water tank is full I have tried to reset this.

This stopped as soon as I plugged it into another outlet. This makes me think that something is wrong with the first outlet, not the iron.
