The lever under the seat to adjust forward and backward is not connected so it does not function properly. I've studied on it and just cant get it. This is the passenger seat which works a little different than drivers'. I appreciate any information.

Unfortunately not all car seats are the same, so as you have failed to give the basic info make/model/year etc it is not possible to give any sensible answers!!
