The programme knob on my indesit washer W161 keeps clicking round and will not set the correct programme. It fills and pumps out at the same time and as the dial clicks round the red light flashes 3 times. I have tried re-setting it as mentioned elsewhere on this site, but this makes no difference. Would be grateful for any help.

Hi Phil,

Many thanks for your quick response and advice. We bought a new temperature sensor and replaced it, and dried the mother board with a hairdryer but to no avail. The machine flashes 13 when the On button is pressed, then the machine starts to fill and empty while the programme dial turns continuously through all the programmes. It keeps flashing 3 when it does this.

hi three light flashes =temp probe faulty this can also be caused by damp on the main board if you can manage it remove main board bottom right rear of machine give it a blow dry with a hairdryer if it still doesnt work call an engineer
(DONT FORGET POWER OFF)
