When u do a full row ,then cut the last piece to fit...the remainder becomes the 1st piece in the next row, and staggers the join

No you don't,you use one end to start the next row and the other end to finish that row.You will be left with some waste(allow 10% extra when buying the flooring,always see if you have an offcut that fits a gap before cutting a fresh board and lay a full length out on the floor to see how much you will loose.Details should be in the box.
