Hotpoint Ultima WMD960?

Fault code F01
Machine tries to start but within 4-5 minutes it stops with this code. Can anyone suggest what this means?

motor failure/short circuited......replace the triac=speed controller.sometimes this is masked by a broken motor brush ,so check brushes.
