My alarm goes straight off when I open the door?

I recently fitted some pet sensors and when I reset the system I found that the slow entry tone has gone a miss, now the alarm goes off as soon as I enter the front door,it doesn't go off when I come down in the morning though, the slow entry tone works then, any ideas?.....my system is a veritas fitted in 1998

its more than likely the reed contact has failed if you get a exit tone going out but dont when entering the house its most likely the contact is not recognising the door opening

Exactly, the DOOR contact reed has 'STUCK' - replace it.

I replaced the sensors I had with pet sensitive ones, the door is covered only by a mag sensor which chimes on entry.

Sounds like your front door contact has 'stuck', replace it.

when you say pet sensors ,do you mean you have fitted extra sensors to the system ,or have you fitted pet lenses to your existing pr,s ?.is your door entry covered by sensor / mag switch / or both??
