Removing a 9" Angle Grinder Disc?

I have been using an 9" Titan Angle Grinder SF230J which I fitted with a cutting blade to cut slabs I have been laying.

I now need to replace the blade but I have tried on numerous occasions to remove the old blade, without success.

I have been told by an employee of Screwfix, where I bought it, that they cannot try and remove it for me but they reminded me about the yellow locking button and explained what I should do.

I have now tried to follow their instructions on two occasions but again without success.

The Angle Grinder has been kept clean and in the sealed box when not in use and it is not rusty in any way. I have the correct spanner supplied to remove it but it seems to be solidly stuck in place.

Can anyone help me to solve this problem?

have never fitted a retaining ring to a grinder using a left hand thread therefore the holding ring is released anti -clockwise after pressing in the yellow holding button rotate disc till peg engages and using the peg spanner.
note
have known these locking pegs in the gearbox to shear off
try this method 2 people are required.
power OFF plug OUT of supply
put on a thick pair of gloves and hold the 2 sides of the disc edge the 2nd person then using the peg spanner undoes (anti clockwise) the retaining boss ring. if grinder starts to rotate put the back end of it down on the floor

K's advice is correct and don't go to screwfix Only to complain to the manager.

first of all ,i would not go back shopping at Screwfix, if this is the best that they can do?? you might need a friend to hold the grinder for you, if you move the gard to the back of the grinder it will help you get at the blade. HOLD IN THE YELLOW BUTTON, and turn the blade by hand ,till it locks"now use the wrench to turn it, BUT MAKE SURE" your turning it the (right) way, as a lot of grinders turn Clockwise to open , as it would unlock itself when in use, so try open it , if you can fit a pipe steel pipe over the wrench, it will give you more power when turning it, but you will need somebody to help you, but just make sure your turning it the right way, try it clockwise to open , and not anticlock,
