Deactivating washing machine in demo mode?

Just bought a Miele W4840 which was in display, I need to deactivate the demo mode, dealer does not know how to do it. Would appreciate if anyone could help me.

Thanks kilerdanny. Unfortunately the process you describe -which is correct- does not seem to work with the machine. Service call required per Miele tech!

press and hold start button for 5 seconds,,release start button,immediately press and hold start button for 4 seconds ,untill demo mode is shown , same method to activate . may want to down load pdf manual from miele / shame on your dealer.
