Thanks in advance

You need to check whether your engine is a Tecumseh TC300 unit (I think it is, but find your engine codes marked on the engine recoil cowling/block)

There are lots of variants of the TC300 and like I stated earlier Tecumseh as a company no longer exist. The part number of the Air Vane that was fitted to the majority of the TC300 seris is: 490303. Lat price I have was around £7.00, but you will have to find a second hand one or be lucky and find a dealer with one gathering dust on their shelves.

No, the air vane on a petrol mower....L400. have tried flymo, and the engine manufacturer stockists, without any luck.

so It's the (governer blade ) point taken.
thanks for the correction... pleasant.
I was thinking of plastic fan on electric mower?
I must say though, I've never come across a broken one?

errr....an elewctric lawnmower doesn't have an air vane fitted.

An air vane operates the engine speed/load governor from the air generated by the rotation of the flywheel- the are all items that are not fitted to an electric lawnmower.

What part are you referring to as an air vane??

Thanks for the info (pleasant) I will keep that in mind.
but I was thinking of electric mower?
Ebay is probably the best bet.

Flymo can't help Salvager as they never made the engine. Tecumseh is the manufacturer of the engine (model TC300 I think) and the company no longer exists. Only way you will find a new part is via a Tecumseh dealer that may have some old stock. Failing that a used one from ebay etc.
