how can i fix my 406 hdi deisel estate?

my 406 has stood for 12 monthes i have started it now and then.the last time it started it must have burnt the heaters out. i have replaced the heater plugs .the engin turnes over but will not start.

have you checked that electric fuel pump is pumping fuel you can normaly here pump or take a fuel pipe off fuel filter and pump ing on turn key the fuel should flow
