peugeot 307 90 hdi - clutch bite point too high?

Hi

I understand that clutches on these cars are normally a bit high but mine is almost at the top of the pedal movement. Car is an 03 plate with 60k on the clock - there appears to be no adjustment and plenty of scare stories regarding clutch failing - any clues / hints / tips gratefully received.

Not had the car long she drives well with no clutch slip but bite point is very annoying

Forgot to add the worst scare story is the cambelt it should be or have been changed at 60K so check that out if that goes sudden and you try starting you could damage the engine and that's really expensive and may mean a replacement.

yes they do seem to come up high but if that high and that old that many miles time to change before it damages the flywheel. most if not all cars nowadays adjust themselves as they wear. I have Peugeot partner combi.
