My dad has an old hotpoint which was starting to spin intermitantly, checked and one of the bushes was burnt out. Changed both bushes and put back together. Now nothing seems to work, I've checked fuses etc, all ok, the only thing I can think of is that it is something to do with the door mechanism and pecker?


I noticed that the pecker unit was off line and that someone has put a screw in the top of the cable. If I have dislodged it a little would that stop the power coming on even when the door is closed??
