how can i make sure that the thread in the bobbinis picked up by my needle?

I have a toyota sewing machine Model DC32 RS2000 Series. Every time I try to pick up the thread from the bobbin, it just doesn't work. Prior to this happening, i was able topick up the thread but the needle was only puncturing the cloth and there were no stitches.

Hope you can help. I have tried all the suggestions in my instruction book and videao but I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Many thanks.

Hello Marie,
Unless you have solved your problem already, if the machine does not pick up the bobbin thread the causes are, blunt or bent needle, needle in the wrong way round, machine threaded wrong.
