Can you fit a clutch plate the wrong way round?

Vauxhall Zafira 2003 2.0 dti F23 gearbox with dual mass flywheel, can the clutch plate be fitted the wrong way?

Yes,they are usually marked flywheel/g/box side,fitted the wrong way will result in failure to engage gears
