Hi, I have the same problem as you, when I start my 2004 patrol 3ltr, the engine management light comes on &if I drive it like that it goes into limp mode35/40mph, but in I flick the ignition on & off a couple of times it goes off & it drives all ok. I think it must be a computer fault as I have had a dionostic check & it showed. An inlet valve ECU problem when the mechanic looked at it he couldn't find anything wrong with it so he put his wires back on & it showed that the fault was now injector pump ECU, crazy or what. Did you ever get your faults fixed???? Would love to hear from Nissan if there was a fault.
