The drum turns by hand but is not moving around when it should be washing or spinning. Any ideas what is wrong?

put wm on a spin see if you can hear the motor ,if you can then suspect a snapped drive belt .if you hear nothing then its most likely to be a fault with the motor or associated wiring . remove motor and remove carbon motor brushes and inspect for excessive wear .
