its hard to say what the fault is with the appliance.frost free fridges have a lot more components than the conventional fridge.inside the freezer compartment behind the rear plastic panel is a evaporator ,.this works like a heater and is determined by the evap timer usually situated on the left hand side of the compressor.when this timer comes into play it activates the heating circuit behind the evap cover and basically melts the lce on the refridgeration element .the water then flows down a channel, down the drain off pipe and is collected in the evap tray fitted to the top of the compressor.it could be a fault with the tlmer ie not switching the heater circuit of .this could explain the freezer operating ok until the evap timer is activating but not shutting off.I would suspect the timer or a related sensor behind the evep cover .also check that the circulation fan is operating .not sure if yours is fitted with one its been a while since I have come into contact with a candy.if one is fitted this fan will be activated when the compressor fires up.it could also be a fault with the thermostat ,that's the temperature controll you can adjust inside the fridge compartment .all these components are fairly cheap and available from www.espares.co.uk.I would start by replacing heater timer and all related sensors ,if problem still persists then replace thermostat .but check the circulation fan first if fitted.hope this info helps.
